People of the Way believe that
the most effective way to transform violence and
injustice is through active nonviolence.
We are inspired by:
 The World
Council of Churches Program to Overcome Violence,
which calls on churches to be centres for action
and reflection and training for active
nonviolence.
Pope John Paul II, who has
repeatedly called for the nonviolent and peaceful
transformation of all unjust structures.
The United Nation's Decade for a
Culture of Peace and Nonviolence for Children of
the World 2001-2010.
Pace e Bene, Franciscan Service
in Nonviolence, Nevada, USA, which has developed
a vision and practice of personal and social
nonviolence.
